Karcher CV36/2 Upright Worth to buy?

So I spotted used Karcher CV36/2 upright for sale.
Asking price is only 40€ and they claim that it is unused/great condition.
I am very tempted to buy this to vacuum my carpets.
It seems like a quality vacuum and brush roll in it has changeable brush strips.

So do anyone has any experience of this vac?

I bought it

I bought this from a man who used to have a furniture shop with wall to wall carpets.
Price was astoundingly cheap, just a 40€. Reason for cheap price is that no one wants this kind of very heavy and bulky vacuum. In Finland all (or 99,5%) uses canister vacuums.
This is made for the commercial use. Brush roll is wide and BIG. Bristles are very stiff. Overall build quality is excellent.

Now I know what it is to vacuum carpets with the upright that has full size and very aggressive brushroll.

Here are some pictures of it.
Suction motor is quite small in diameter, but deep. This allows the cleaner to go very flat to the floor. All hard wear parts are metal like the handle release mechanism, tall handle, part of soleplate and base attachment to the motor/bag section.
Closeup picture shows how dense the bristles are.
Brushroll motor only shuts down when the wand is removed. Red arrow shows the switch in the wand connection.
I have never had proper upright vac, so this is totally new to me. Like the way it pulls itself when I turn it on. I can even feel the floor vibrating under my feets when it is running near to me.
This is very heavy to maneuver at the first couple uses, but it comes easier after a while.
I still need the canister vac to vacuum the hard floors and tight places.

This has a suspicious lot of similarities with the SEBO.
Here is a ridiculous video how it works on the low pile rug. I had to set the height to the 4 and it still lifts the rug to the nozzle and result is quite interesting. However this way it cleans this rug very nicely.

Now you know why North Americans love uprights! I prefer using two vacuums for cleaning: a lightweight suction only canister with no power nozzle to clean most things, and a classic fan first simple upright for carpets (no on-board tools needed). When I clean a room, I begin with my versatile Miele canister to clean everything from top to bottom. I finish the room by deep cleaning the carpets with my Hoover upright - working backwards from the far end of the room towards the door or entry - leaving no footprints behind!

My Hoover+Miele cleaning team actually takes up very little room in my closet. And together, they cost me less than CAD $1,000.

Good find Mike. I have been keeping an eye on this thread that you created. It isn't a SEBO that has been made for sale but rather something that SEBO has made for Karcher based on the SEBO BS36. It uses the same dust bags as the SEBO BS36 as well as brushes and of course mini tools. You can use a SEBO hose on the Karcher for extra length.

As far as I know the motor shuts off the BS36 when the hose is removed; same with my old 360.

The metal spine has just enough room to get a SEBO Felix tool storer on where two additional tools can be added. I did that already to my SEBO 360.

Also if you need a user manual let me know. I have a Worldwide pdf downloaded on my computer.

Yes I now totally understand people who like the uprights!
I have to admit that I have looking for the upright for some time, but it just seemed impossible task to find any from here in the Finland. Only uprights for sale are Kirbys and price is sky high. Cheapest used ones starts at minimum 300€.

Very nice to know that this is basically SEBO BS36. This does the same thing: When the wand is removed brushroll stops. This vacuum is well designed almost every part seems to be replaceable.

It does the same thing Mike but the SEBO doesn't have a connector suction tube on the bottom of the floor head. It is all encased and the soleplate on the underside has an orange trapdoor to remove blockages. Also the newer BS36 has 4 wheels on the underside.

Looking at the underside of yours, it looks a bit like my old 360 as it doesn't have a trapdoor. To change the brush strips on the 360 you have to use a screwdriver to remove the side door - BS36 has a removable thumb lock style catch.
