weird thought- can you suck a bunch of flour into a rainbow or would it just turn into dough and ruin the machine?

I've used the Rainbow whenever vacuuming sheet rock dust. Just be prepared to fully service the vacuum afterwards.

As for turning into dough, depending on the amount of flour that you suck up, you may just end up creating a muddy substance. It would be impossible to create dough with a Rainbow, unless you modified the separator to have a dough hook and added other ingredients.

lol

haha i didnt mean i was gunna try to make bread i was just wondering the usefulness of a rainbow if your whole flour bin spilled or you were sucking up concrete dust. im not doing either but thought it a design flaw that you could use it for tasks normal vacs could easily handle

I remember a Kirby salesman years ago-he had a Rainbow in his car as a trade in from another sale-"since you are into vacuums"Can I show you something"I said to him go ahead-(I didn't have a Rainbow-an old Filter Queen at the time)"He then went on to say-"I get more Rainbow trade in when I do this test-""We will do this outside"-He then put the Rainbow togehter after I filled the water canister for it.He picked up Talcum power with the machine--and it spewed from the air exhaust on the vacuum."He then went on to say--"You would not want to use this vacuum to clean your home would you?"Then tried the talcum test with a Kirby G4 in the hose mode-no spewing.Water does not "wet" talc-so it passes thru the water trap.Flour can be wetted by water so it may be trapped in the water canister. Some may still escape though. Now if you picked up the flour, sugar, little salt, and butter or fat-then yeast--maybe you will get dusty bread dough in your Rainbow-may be interesting to try with a junker Rainbow.
