My wife recently rescued a 1 year old untrained Puggle from her 'friend'. In 2 weeks it has devastated my carpets. Its my first pet outside of an aquarium. My wife insists we are making progress house-training this dog. Whatever. So I picked up a Bissell Big Green 86T3. My basement carpet which has seems to have collected the most covert hits from our new 4-legged friend has not been shampooed in over a decade. Let me say this Big Green really has been outstanding. I love my Miele vacs, but they won't remove stains like this guy. While it does not make my carpets completely like new (when compared to a section of the carpet with furniture over it since new) it has eradicated every blotchy stain from both before and after the dog arrived and has made may carpets look new enough. I'm super impressed as I have tried to remove by hand several of the stains over time with no luck and a lot invested is various stain removing chemicals (that clearly were not fit for the task). I don't have a lot of carpet but I cannot believe I went so long without a rug cleaning machine. Highly recommend.

awwww.

Nice machine.  Look at the folding handle.  After using it, rinsing out and letting it dry, you can fold it and store it on a shelf.  Me wants it. Me wants IT.

I need to find a replacement for a Bissell Proheat 2X that I "rescued" from a Goodwill..... for $6.

I love the double beater bar brush, but the water containers have this weird "one-inside-the-other" thing going on,  and it leaks, and the vacuum tank is warped and one can't get good suction.

It was a fun find, but.....

The dog....... OMG.  Some people, bless their hearts, still haven't realized it's not a challenge to see if you can keep alive another animal.  It's already been proven.  Human's can do that.

I hope your property doesn't continue to suffer whilst going through this phase.

Those are really great machines! I bought a Rug Doctor and I wish I would've purchased a Big Green instead. I've used them a couple of times in the past and they always surprise me, especially being something made by Bissell.

^^^ I had actually ordered a Rug Doctor and then started to do a bit more research. Luckily I was able to change the order to the Big Green. I understand the Rug Doctor Pro X3 clean water reservoir does not detach? The modular tanks of the Big Green are fantastic. I wish I did some before/after carpet shots. It really does nice work. They just need to build in an A/C unit to the machine to make it perfect. It pushes out a lot of heat... combined with the fluids and the room gets pretty tropical by the time I'm finishing up.
