I believe this floor/rug tool--because of its color pattern--would have originally gone with the Model 1521s from the Grand Marquise to the Ultralux Classic, Model 2100 and Model 1677--Diplomat and Diplomat LX, Model 1623 and Model 1676--Ambassadors, and Model 1718 and Model 1762--Epic 6000 SR and Epic 6500 SR.  Admittedly, the plastic has a grayish tone rather than a sand (light beige) tone of the aforementioned machines; although it seems as though that is due to the lighting.  At least, I can't think of any cleaners with a gray/blue combination.

I do wonder if this would have been an optional attachment for the plastic tanks as it seems the single-use bare floor tool was reintroduced around that time.  It had been replaced with the Model E's new combo tool in 1954--some 40 years earlier; although the white wall brush still used the single-use tool into its last version with the Model 1401/Super J--I happen to have a NIB version of this with the gold brush plate.
