Well, I convinced myself I would not buy the Royal Power Tank on eBay, but of course in the last, I don't know, 30 seconds, I had to quickly enter, 5.50, and confirm the bid, and guess what, I won it. Not to happy I did, lol, I wanted to save my money, but I guess I can't. So here is another link to it. It is in amazing shape, except for the cord. And it is missing the floor brush, and the two curved wands I believe, but I have all of those from my Royal Pony. I also have many bags, filters, and a re-usauble bag for it. And I also have a better power nozzle and hose for my Royal Canisters. I know the 597 is rare and all, but its not a good performer, so I hope the one this came with it better. Also, my Royal Pony hose is very "stiff" it doesn't bend very well at all, so HOPEFULLY this one is more flexible. And like I said before, in a few weeks I am getting the Royal Power Tank Classic Edition with electronic controls, that matches my 1989 Royal Classic Edition Upright. Here she is....

vacuums and more vacuums

Hi Chase Very nice power tank. What shame that they are not what they were i guess thats life. I have over 40 vacuumsi have a nice finished basement to put them in and MOST of ALL a wonderful family that understands my habit my wife is just wonderful. Besidehvaving vacs in the basemest i just about have one or two in each room. I picked up a Hoover from the trash with the fold away handle put in a new switch for 5.50 and it works as good as new.On the other hand one of my friends gave me a Hoover Wind tunnel works very well for about 10 mimutes then just stops cools off and is fine i think the answer to that is to empty it after each use. I am really a KIRBY man and DONT like Bagless vacuums to dirty to empty. OK If you like you can e-mail me and we can talk Vacuums Doug

I know that this post is super old, but I'd just like to share that I now own this vacuum and love it! I use it daily and just this week had to put a new motor in it. I replaced the chord, got parts for the power nozzle, and also was able to get the wands to use the hard floor brush! I'll post some pictures of it tomorrow..
