I just found this Electrolux it is $125. I was wandering if this was the original box that it comes in? It has the cord hose and three floor and carpet attachments with it. I have another one but the motor doesn't run but it has the tool caddy and all the attachments except the hose and wands. Is it worth the price?

I paid $5 for my 1951 model 30, and rebuilt the motor. The box is from a universal, and the hose is beyond shot by this point. I don't think it's worth $125 but remenber, things are only worth what somebody is willing to pay for it. Vintage Vacuum Sweepers are "gaining value" lately as in the owners overprice them than pitch them when they don't immediately sell.
Just my 2 cents

That is post WW II, pre war would have a cast aluminum back end and the runners would attach to the casting in the back. The front of the runners would attach to the plate that the front cover attaches to NOT the tabs that are welded to the sides.

P.S.: Electrolux did offer leatherette chests starting with one of the later XXXs (probably 1949 since so many other new accessories were introduced that year), and at least as late as the Model G and maybe later. They were nicer than the Universal chest above -- the walls were thicker and more heavy duty and the top was thickly padded.

I have them in dark green, dark brown, maroon and tan. There may have also been other colors. The ones I saw most often as a little boy were dark green.I remember an XXX, an LX, an AE and an F in particular that nice ladies kept in the trunks.

The first photo below came with a Model E that I got on eBay. The following four photos came with a Model LX that a lady who found my web site sent to me. She said she just wanted to see it go to a good home.

I have a few trunks from other manufacturers in a variety of colors and finishes.
