Interesting Vacuums on eBay

Well, even if they're not rare..they all look to be in very good condition :3 LOVE the Royal canister, regardless of price.

I have one of those wooden mechanical vacuum/sweepers although mine is in pristine condition. They never seem to sell for much on Ebay though if they sell at all. Mine has the vacuum portion like that one, operated by internal bellows but also has a brushroll in the middle like a Bissell carpet sweeper. Theyr'e quite neat actually. The Fairfax, not worth that, they're not that uncommon.

I'd like that Pink Eureka meself ;] it seems to use modern (er) style filters, am I correct in this assumption?

I love that Sunbeam too, I notice the little 60s/70s American "Steel" sticker, a nice touch imo, original.

Has anyone found the Dual-Motor Air-Way upright? I am drooling over it...even if it doesn't have the bag! Too bad I don't have the money to get it!

And the wonderful Ohio-Tuec!! It looks almost brand new/all original besides some oxidation! WOW!!

~~K~~ :-)

What is the purpose of this thread? Is someone in cahoots with the seller to jack up the bid? Let those interested parties find these vintage vacs on eBay themselves. Just my two cents.....

What's the problem? It's not like the above listed vacs on Ebay are top secret. 99% of the members here are probably scanning Ebay near daily looking at them so if someone has a question about one or finds it interesting and links to it so what. No skin off anyones nose. I certainly have no intent to refrain from posting an ebay link if I think it's interesting or have a question to folks here about the machine or part. If someone outbids me they outbid me and obviously for some reason wanted it more and/or had deeper pockets. There will always be someone with deeper pockets that's a fact of life along with you don't always get what you want.

Hello,

Sorry if I offended you Ohio_Tuec by posting these vacs on here, but the purpose of this thread for me, was to post vacs I found interesting and unique, and also to perhaps gain some insight on them from my esteemed colleagues, who are very knowledgable on such matters.

Oh, and also, it was very slow at work today...and I had really nothing better to do ;)

Ian,

My favorites are the Royal and the pink Eureka. The pink eureka, does appear to use modern filters, I was wondering about that myself. Maybe someone will enlighten us on that topic.

Of course the royal is way out of my price range, but I do hope it ends up where it is appreciated since it appears to be in pristine condition.

The pink eureka is just the greatest thing, I adore the color and the simple design.
