So for my birthday I wanted to get a Rainbow. I didn't care if it was a D3 or an E2, I just wanted a Rainbow.

So I found a decently priced D3C and the only problem with it was the brushroll. I am waiting for a new brushroll, but other than that, I'm set.

It's in decent condition. I understand I'm missing some pieces and that some aesthetic stuff is missing... But for the sake of just owning one and maybe using it as a daily vacuum, it's good enough for me.

that's how I felt when I bought my D3

Well, you aren't really missing anything important besides a tool caddy. What is really the "pop out" on your new Rainbow is the fact a lot of the parts are newer/replaced if you aren't aware; water basin, dolly, crevice and dusting tool, and it looks like the pn neck is D4. But of course that doesn't stop it from being a great machine!

I guess I've got a Fraken-Rainbow then. Oh well... It works fine and is terrifyingly quiet compared to my Sentria.

So... For anyone who knows anything about these machines...

My power nozzle is really, really loud. It's very "squeaky." The noise went down when I put a brand new brushroll in it, but it's still noisy. Could it be that my rainbow is using a non-genuine belt? Or is the power nozzle motor going out?
