Stunning find & gift.It appears that the brushroll is meant to be free-spinning - I see no drive belt pulley. So, soak the roll axle mounts with a degreaser and/or rust eater - it won't harm the Bakelite or metal or bearings and pry it out. Any screws holding it in place? De-rust 'em and use an impact screwdriver. Then it should be a simple matter top get at the bearings and axle and clean it up nice. Get 'er done.My two cents.Dave
