I Have An Apology To Make...Website Related Post

Hi everyone,

I want to say something I should have said a long time ago.

I am not 22 years old, I am 13. The reason I lied is because I when I first discovered this website, I wanted to become a part of the community, but I was only 12 years old, and rather than waiting a year to sign up, I signed up anyway.

I think some of you already guessed this, and I'm DEEPLY sorry, it was the wrong thing to do, and it's becoming more and more awkward now, because wanting to meet people when I can't.

Oh, and the various car threads are simply because I love cars.

Again, I'm really sorry, and should have just come clean in the first place.

Please accept my apologies.

Joe I really do appreciate you telling the truth and coming clean so to speak. I can't speak for anyone else here, but the way I feel about it is everyone makes mistakes in their lives. Some have dire consequences, others such as this can be easily rectified with an explanation of why you did what you did and a sincere apology. I believe you've done both now.

I think this is a good lesson for other underage members here who didn't let me know their true age. Vacuumland is more than just a website, it is a social network which in many cases will lead to real friends in the real world and not just the digital world. It will only work if you are honest about who you are.

So Joe, I've converted you to a Junior member now and you should be all set to go for the next few years. Thank you again for doing the right thing and letting everyone know the truth.

Yes everyone makes mistakes. This post was the most MATURE thing you could do. It seems that you HAVE learned a very valuable lesson. NOW, you can/ should move on. You've learned a very valuable lesson, Robert is so right.
The important thing NOW is what you do from here on . Good luck to you, and thanks for doing the right thing.
There is NOTHING worse, to me, than a liar. Sadly, I know grownups who SHOULD know better and don't. They'll never change.
You've used your "get out of jail free card" early.

Joe, I'd just like to say how much I appreciate your honesty with this. I completely understand your reasons for hiding your age and I am pleased that you have had the strength to make up for and apologise for something that you did on the spur of the moment without thinking clearly.

I promise you, nobody will think less of you for your age. And if they do, they're probably not the kind of people you want to associate with anyway.

To my fellow VL members, I've spoken with Joe a lot outside VL and can honestly say he's one of the nicest members I've had the pleasure of chatting with. You're doing yourself proud Joe, nice one!

but coming clean and admitting what you did shows that you have a degree of maturity that is rare in most kids your age these days and I applaud you for doing the right thing. It also just goes to show that the good guys win too....PAT COFFEY

YAY!!!!!!!!!!!! Joe, your close to my age! I am 14, YAY but you dont wanna meet me, I am BORING AS HELL lol but you got an awesome collection, better than mine, I am downsizing and starting fresh, and I regret getting rid of my DC25! DAMN I also got rid of the DC07's and all the cylinders etc and non dysons, I only have a DC04, DC01 destijl, DC07 and I think thats it.
