I have that movie on VHS. I don't think they really sucked up dirty water, I always thought it was an effect.

I saw the end of that movie on TBS this morning, I have a feeling that the vacuum was not really trashed either. Certainly not like the YouTube posts. I hated seeing the brand new '60 Lincolns and Mercurys (ies?) smashed up in the Walt Disney movies though.
