it is a scremer looks a little newer then the one I own and yes they are noise kind of reminded me of a hair dryer the first few times I used it. but don't underestimate the power of that light weight I used my Oreck professionally as a custodian in a manufacturing plant. me and the other custodians loved it. it cleaned rugs better and faster than all our other machines in fact it was so lightweight we could strap it to the custodian carts was super convenient. really not a bad looking one you have there ether for the right price I'm sure it will have no problem selling
