I really need to get the ball rolling with my rarer finds. I need to get the fans off so I can rebuild the motors top to bottom. I got these machines for free from the local vacuum-gold-mine place.
Just dont know how to remove them? Any help greatly appreciated!
I have found the closest match of the original paint in spray form so I can paint the machines once I have them striped down.
I plan on cutting in half, and putting my NOS hoover commercial rubber cord (very early style black smooth rubber) onto each machine. That will give 25 feet for each machine. Probably longer than the originals.
Will add the handle with the original rubber grip intact, original bag ring and original plug end, as well as the original blue band hood.... to the machine that turns out the best.
The rebuilt machine had the bag full indicator mechanism removed. Found that interesting. Will replace it on the best machine in the end.
Pardon the dirty pictures. This is just after a light dusting. They look far better now! All rust removed, all dirt and grim and scratches removed.
