Have a sentria that has been sitting in my garage. Had the intention of turning it into a Hentria (Heritage bag w/ a metal fan) but was busy & preoccupied with other things. I know something has to be done with the front bearing plate to get a 500/Classic-series fan to work in a G-Series, but can't remember what procedure needs to be done. Who can give me a breakdown on what the procedure is to retrofit a metal fan in my Sentria?

I've heard that the metal fan can easily fit on both the G3 and G4 with no problem. But I've also heard that on the G5 and newer models, you need to add a washer behind the fan to make it work.

You

Need a metal fan. You put the fan with the washer on it next to the metal fan. It depends on the year of the metal fan. Your going to cut off the difference as the metal fan has a tab on the back you have to grind off.
