HOW do you take apart hoover turbopower bearings

Help Support VacuumLand:

Theres a little Circlip (ill refer to it asa C clip) on t'other side of the bearing,on the flat side. Get a flat blade screw driver (small) or,what I do,is use a pin-board pin and at one end of the C clip, get the pin under it and lift it up.

Completely remove the C-clip and then it'll come apart into two parts. Becareful of the balls though!

What I use to clean them is white spirits. Let them soak, then rinse, then dry them.

Then just pack them with grease.

After putting the balls back in with the grease, put the "raised" or "top" of the bearing back on. (In other words the part that doesn't hold the balls.) Then flip it back over so the flat side is exposed, then get the C-clip,place that back in. What I do is use pliers to push the C-clip back in. You'll hear it snap back in.

Once that's all done, just spin it by hand a little bit (that's what I do) just to get the balls roughly back into place.

Then just place back into the Activator housing, and you're done!

Also - The bearings will sound a little off for a bit because the balls need to seat correctly. Don't worry, just let the machine run for a bit,it will sort its self out.

If it would be easier,I can do a video as soon as I can.

Hope this helped!
~Emma.
