Well, my Vax/Dirt Devil Kone died on me recently. I thought about using the base unit as a kitchen utensil holder but its cone base still lights up, pity the hand held vacuum has gone. So, with some Argos vouchers decided to buy the Hoover Jovis hand held cordless. It looked like a good idea at the time, but my god it's a bulky thing with a slippery handle despite the ribs built in and what were Hoover thinking when they created the push out paint brushes at the bottom after the dust channel? Doesn't seem to push dirt along into the channel or do a proper job. About the only tool that's worth using is the crevice tool, but that's detachable and has to be stored in the battery charger vacuum cleaner holder. Still its powerful with a 2 speed motor and 9.6 Volts - pity that the daft 5 set LED indicators on the handle makes no sense at all - it isn't accurate at all and really pretty annoying.
Now I have just added the crevice tool permanently as it seems to be better at a worktop crumb cordless vacuum than anything else. Really wish Hoover UK/Candy Italy would get their finger out and build something far lighter and far smaller. The similar handle to the Slalom and Freedom bagless uprights is welcomed, but its a pity that it is slippery despite the ribs set on the top = in the wrong place!
