Hi Alexander I just though i would share some information with you .In 1999i bought through e-bay a Hoover Norca from Tom Gasko Model-1 it has a chrome handle and a dull blue motor cover. it works like a charm i paid 51.00.just thought you would like to no Doug

Hoovercand...

The Norca was short for North Canton...it was a cheap model Hoover in the late 30's that did NOT have any beater bars only brushes on the agitator. They looked similar to the lowest line Hoover and were sold through department stores. Later they used the Norca name to sell bags and accessories for all vacuums. Yes, they are very rare...Jeff Parker in Chicago has one in near mint condition. It looks like a Hoover model 305 at first until you get a close look at it. Maybe he will put up a photo of it.

I to have a model 1 Norca and few model 300s

aney one have brush strips for it as the Norca brush strips can not be rebristled or a bottom plate for it, same as a model 300 bottom plate.

thanks chris
