So, we have the above at work, just recently in. As my department is floorcare, it was my job to put it out and give it a try.

I must stress enough, that this cleaner is awful. It's supposed to have 30volts or the equivalent of an hour, similar to the AEG ultrapower. However, a asthmatic mouse would have more suction than the Unplugged.
Yes, my job isn't bad, I sometimes have to clean, run a vac around if the carpet looks dirty (in other words I get paid to vacuum!) Amazing!

The suction is poor, and turbo doesn't help. It might pick up light loose debris but it doesn't pick up things like staples, small stones, ingrained mud, small leaves and small rolled up bits of paper we sometimes have on our grooved carpet. It has brush control, but there's no point turning it off, the brush actually does the cleaning.
I got so annoyed, I changed to the ultrapower, the unplugged just wasn't working. At this point it made a Dyson look desirable.

I'll cover build quality for fairness anyway. Again with it being the tit company (sorry tti, can't help myself), the build quality is awful. The neck is poor and flimsy, many times I have stood it, and it feels like it's going to topple over. I actually have up, it's hideous. The shocker is, Hoover have an rrp of £250!

The saving grace is I can say to a customer looking at this, 'yes you can also get the European made ultrapower with better build and performance, and it's £20 cheaper.'

No brainer really.

But is the Ultrapower a cordless stick vac?? Surely the nearest rival would be the AEG Ergorapido models?

It will come down in price anyway - Hoover Europe models don't last that long when they're cordless stick vacs.

Don't forget HI-Lo - the Hoover Freejet cordless stick vacs are actually U.S Dirt Devil models, who are now TTI. So confusing when Hoover Europe do that.

RRP can't always be trusted and I see Currys have already decreased the price to £199 for the Hoover "Unplugged". Now that is interesting, the AEG AG5012CU Ultrapower appears to be more expensively priced at £229 though, and for what? A little less weight but a smaller dust bag capacity, BUT obviously a quicker charging time for usage thereafter first use.

A lot of compromises to be made when judging these two put together which I expect a lot of your buyers will do.

I have a morphy Richards super vac

It's actually a really good little machine it was only £100 just over a year ago. I like the fact it had the detachable handheld Ok it doesn't have as much oomph as a Dyson rechargeable but it does what I want at least 6 times a day (cat litter from 6 cats and the excess hair that builds up after ive vacuumed ). I know in Australia they have the same machine but that one is under in the Hoover label and is red
