I used to have this ad on video but it got erased. I have been searching the internet for ages to try and see it again and today I found it.

Enjoy this fantastic classic Hoover ad!

Glad to see Ryan you tubed it :)

Hey Roger

I pointed this one out to Ryan last night- its been on TV-Ark for a while(according to them its from 1984).

Ive only used an Electro-Kinetic head once and it was amazing- far better than the later version!

Sensotronic System 3 Remote Control

We are lucky enough to own one of the models in this advert,

I love the Sensotronic range, nice power and good quality accessories.

Ours came with chrome tubes - a later update from the original series having the honey beige hose and tubes.

I dont really like the look of the white plastic tubes or hose.
I think the chrome and gold hose looks far better.

Sensotronic System 2

My mum had the green S3128 as seen in the advert. The power nozzle was available with different flex lengths to suit power-hose machines and stretch-hose machines.

Note: System 2's power take-off socket for the power nozzle, was round pin, not flat-pin as seen in the photos above.

The vac to start off my collection properly was a Hoover Sensotronic Total System 5 that I bought on hire purchase from Seeboard in 1983. Or rather my Dad signed the hire purchase form and I paid him each week until it was paid off.

My version had metal tubes but the early hose in dark brown which had a skin that tended to split. I had this replaced under guarantee to the later silver hose.

I preferred the Turbo 300 head to the Electro Kinetic one. I remember that you could fit a Hoover Junior agitator to the Electro Kinetic head.

I am sure the ad was from 1983, not 84 as stated on TV Ark. I do own the later ad for the second generation Sensotronic that starts with a bag of flour falling onto a floor in slow motion. Now that is a spectacular ad!

Electro Kinetic Power Nozzle

Just another name for 'electric brush', however, the agitator may be of a 'quadraflex' design.
