Yeah, another vac so really some are going to have to find a new home.

Working but not sure its vacing

Just brought it home
tested it as much as I could at Sally's
I have 8 days to return for credit

Think its a 1988 as it has 012288 inside

Is it a good machine?
Has metal handle & underside is also metal

2 brushes

tank is tacky inside
should I used simple green
Where does the water get extrraced from
says vac but it didn't seem to have suction in store

now I have to figure out has it works
has one side button for shampoo & other side for wet vac

Your supposed 2 use scrub mode 1st THEN use VACUUM mode (on hard floors only) Unless someone used the vac mode on carpet & clogged the inlet with carpet lint OR used it as a dry vac. Does the switch work w/o problems?

Vacuum mode

to be used 4 WET pickup only! Only when washing bare floor with WATER-BASED cleaners; NOT 2 be used when shampooing rugs & cleaning hard floors with SOLVENT type cleaners.

I took out some fuzz from that area
could have a blockage?

it won't pick up water from a rug?
That's what I need it for.

Why if it says wet vac isn;t it a wet vac

there were some fibers in that area & the the inside the container is tacky so not sure what they used in it...

Should I just return it?

Switch works fine
Don't like the type though as it seems to me it would be a problem.
You have to slide it left or right then move it down.

I have no history of the machine but when I put water in the tank to clean it there is a sticky residue.

tried it on the linoleum
it seems to suck up water as dirty water was inthe container.
used simple green solution
didn't really seem to clean better than a mop but the brushes are for rug.

motor sounds great but I really wanted the luxury of extracting from a rug

I can do a wash with a kirby & extract w the rainbow so really wanted one machine that could do both

will return it unless it really does a good job of washing rugs
still I have an eletrolux B9 & an electrolux vac attachment if I just want to scrub

Cleaned the tank & gave it a spin on my carpet
The hoover scrub vac really cleans the rug nice
did most of my apartment effortlessly

might just have to keep it
its quiet & itleav es the nap fluffy & its not too wet so it really has not much you could even extract...

So were these late 80's?

Id keep her

With some clean-up she should do well, and replacement brushes are still avaiable.These Scrub N Vacs are kinda hard to come by, at least around here,but then again so is everything else lol. Ive tried to get one from the bay but I refuse to go over 100$ even for a vintage one unless its mint. Just my 25 cents

Thanks its a keeper...
it's really not a vac & I can use it

Motor sounds strong & purrs
not like the new screamers
its old but not too old

Did kitchen & bathroom
it sucks up the water

Did most of the carpets
freshen them

I like it

the rubber has some damage on the suction band & it has some stains but its really in very good condition,
Don't think its been used much but someone might have used
a stain or something.

I cleaned it externally but one adventurous day I'll do more.

Not sure if there is a way to backflush it as I'm still not sure thepathway the water takes into the tank but it picks up dirt water from the linoleum.

Probably have to get hard floor brushes as it only came with the rug but they are in decent condition.

I wonder if it should be stored w the brushes off?

Hope you find on as they really are quite impressive performers.
