For those who haven't read about this before, the motor will hum/buzz, but does not turn.
I've received various diagnostic theories - from worn carbon brushes to bearings needing to be re-packed. Some were also nice enough to provide links to sites where I can purchase the correct part (if I figure out what this is) or the entire motor.
Just thought I'd provide an update.
I've taken apart the motor a few times now - first, looking for obstructions, then inspecting the carbon brushes, and most recently attempting to find the bearings.
Each time after I reassemble the motor, it works fine - for a few minutes.
Is it possible that something is binding in the motor and I am temporarily freeing it when I take it apart? If so, what could it be?
Thanks again for the assistance.
