Cancer

E7000 is what you need. On my 913 I thought housing came apart. I grabbed my grinder and cut bottom of the bearings. I'll be damned the red hot metal started itself a fire with the 50 year old grease.
The 7000 can cause cancer and make you sterile or even go blind. It is my go to as it adheres almost any two surfaces together.
I did crack a small piece of the carbon brush housing on 913. I used e7000 and it still holding strong.

Looks like bakelite. rip. Loctite 60 is just super glue, isn't it? I mean, that's what I'd try. It really depends on how much force is exerted on the housing.

Les - that's how you know it's good!

So far that loctite 60 second universal glue is working wonders.
Hopefully I'll find another bearing housing soon.
Also, if a washer had been inside the motor housing during operation could that have cracked the bearing housing assembly?
Thanks again for everything.

Washer

I'm guessing I'm reading correctly your question.
There is not a washer getting into motor housing. I'm guessing you mean outside the housing. Yes it could crack it but I doubt it. It's damage caused by a human. If a washer did it would be hard to do.

I suppose if a loose washer was in there, it might have been thrown by the motor spinning. Unlikely, though. What it does look like is the armature was pressed too far back up into that housing. Either something hit the end of the shaft, or there were too many thrust washers on the armature and it cracked the housing when someone tightened the screws down. Is that what you meant?

@madman a loose washer if I'm not mistaken was inside and I suspect that it got thrown by the motor as when I dismantled it I found it like dropped into the casting, but maybe it jammed the armature and it flew into the bearing housing but I repaired it with the loctite 60 second universal glue and it actually started working even better than when I had it the last 8 months ever since.
Thanks for all your input.
