Hoover Innovation question

Hey everyone. When I use my Hoover Innovation, the brushroll stops turning after about a minute of being on and working fine. Do you think that's a belt issue, or the brusroll needing lubrication issue? I took the brushroll apart, but I could only find one bearing. Shouldn't there be one in both sides? If it helps, I can take pictures later. Also, the belts kind of remind me of a self propelled vacuum... there's a flat belt for the clutch and a V belt for the brushroll. Maybe the flat belt is stretched, it's doubtful the V belt would be.

By the way.... I got a full set of attachments finally! A lady was selling them on eBay and I won them for 99 cents AND they came with the manual! I have an extra hose and a dusting brush since mine came with those already. If anyone wants it for the cost of shipping, you are welcome to e-mail me.

Wow... I was just thumbing through the manual and found the original sales receipt. It was from 11-09-88! It's from JC Penny and the original purchaser paid 189.99 for the the vacuum and 30 dollars for the tools. Now THAT is cool!!!!!

The V Belts can get stretched. I have a Hoover Windtunnel Ultra Self Propelled and I got it used. When I purchased it, the VBelt was stretched, therefore the brushroll would only a turn a while then stop rotating, similar to your issue

Thanks..... I will have to look for some then. I thought V belts were like cogged belts with the wires in them, but I guess now that I think of it they aren't!
