I'm very excited to visit the hoover historical center in Ohio! I've always wanted to see it! Anyone else been?

I'm sure you'll enjoy it! The history of the Hoover Cleaner, Company, and family are well represented there with excellent displays of the vacuums through the years, Hoover's contributions during WWII, and original furnishings and clothing that belonged to the Hoover family. I have been there maybe 4 or 5 times over the years and hope to go again someday. Always something to see that you might have missed in a prior visit!
Several activities of the 2008 VCCC Convention were held there in celebration of Hoover's 100th Anniversary, including a display contest and lunch held at Hoover Park, which is behind and up the hill from the museum. We also got to meet several members of the Hoover family. It was a fun and memorable time.

Hey Jack, i Live in Akron, just up the road from North Canton. The HHC as we hoover nerds call it, its a great place to visit for your first time to the "Home of Hoover". Docents give free tours on the Thursay - Saturday, however it should be known that except for Christmas events, the HHC is only open from March until October.
