Wow it was really nice to get one of these in for repair again, its been many years sinse I have repaired one for a customer.


 


this is an early version of this hood in SA as it had a metal base still.


 


Note the switch on top of the hood 


 


unfortunetly the sticker ith the id on had pealed away just the glue residue left.

a a new cord , belt, brushes and a quick  polish but the hood had some cracks in it and really bad scratches down the side( I always battle to get these green hoods to shine as well as the brown, yellow, dark green and red ones  . purs like a hoover should now

They called that one the Hoover Ranger here in the UK, though from what I see there, the only differences between that and my now sold Senior are the hood and the footswitch position, everything else is the same, just lacking paint on the metal base... :&#92

Looks like it could do with a new cable, I got a brand new 100 Metre (328ft) drum of white 6Amp 2-core flex on Sunday for £5, had I not sold the Senior I'd have probably re-cabled it with that before selling it... :P
