Sadly, yes. they are both gone, and not for the good of the club. And I agree with you Jimmy wholeheartedly theat some grevious injustices were done. But what's done is done, and thankfully I do keep up quite well with both Jeff and Michael, who have both also chosen to make themselves scarce as well..and their doing quite well also.
Incidentally I was unfortunate to not really get to know Tom quite that well, as some of you seem to be; before the whole mess began. Wheteher that has to do with certain circumstances, or things that I'm unaware of I still feel their loss here. Yes I was at convention, and had the opportunity to meet him again, as I was also at his well attended mini-meet last fall, and was beyond impressed with the job that all of you did to make that Convention memorable.
In fact I felt that I was quite free with my thanks to him and you for the hospitality. Ironically It just seemed that what I wrote then was either ignored, or not saw.
Consequently, other than touring his home, and purchasing a few things at his garage sale, I was never sent any machines, and looked to him more for his insights and connections due Hoover than anyting else.
It's great to hear thru continued connections that all is well. I want or need nothing from him, and stand by his decision to leav and not come back. After all that we saw, as you stated..who could blame him...
If you would be so good Jimmy, please pass on for me that I still feel sad about his loss, and do when the situation is appropriate, speak highly of him. I'm sure that he's quite well, and that he's happier now that he's out of the loop I s great.
On a final note..I have had my share of good and bad here on the forum, and for the contributions I try and give, some times people look and respond, but many do not. Sometimes I wonder why I even bother. BUT..for the few who do respond , and chose to conversate, and consequently enjoy my ramblings that I offer, makes it WORTH the while. Cutting yourself off may make it easier, but who looses out...
That said I'm glad again everyone feel likewise. I'm glad that for once I'm not just a babe in the woods, and tha my thoughts are flet likewise by the consensus.
