Today I went to my favorite flea market and I looked around and I found attachments for an earlier convertible in original box from about 1960 and on top of those attachments I found a completely mint used once or twice set of attachments for the Hoover convertible 1010 marked with 1011 on the box. All the attachments look brand new and even the box looks new! Anyway tomorrow I will make a video of my 1010 in action with attachments!

Good show,, thanks for posting it. I never ever find any convertible attachements/hoses around here, ever.

Travis...

Great find...I have to know, which flea market do you frequent? Is it the 5th Avenue Flea Market? I liked your video too. The harder set to find is the 1061 set that included the floor brush, telescopic wand, and even a vinyl bag to store all of the tools in.

This rear conversion setup was used until 1977. I think that overall, the change to the front conversion was a cost reducing one because the front conversion was so much more simple. There is not that much difference in suction. I like the rear conversion better since it is easier to use. I could never get the hang of attaching the front pan converter while the machine was running without lots of NOISE!

Travis, again, thanks for sharing your great find. You even have the box to boot! What model was your earlier set of tools? Did it have Ultraflex or Tufflex?
