I just have to say Hoovers are great. I am visiting my 88 year old in aunt in Overland Park Kansas and she ask me to take a look at her Hoover Convertible. Her granddaughter was using it and tried to install a new type C bag. But she kept twisting and twisted off the bag connector. It was an easy fix.

The Hoover runs great, she has had it serviced within the last 10 years, it has new long cord and new agitator. The motor, bearings, etc sound like they have been serviced as well. I tried to take it home with me but my aunt still wants it. She said that she thinks she can still use it with one hand on her walker, in her doorways. She has a professional cleaning service that has their own equipment that cleans her house several times a month.

The Hoover has a full-sized hood, its cream colored with a flower design on the bag. I will have to get the model number and post it. I plan on using it again today. I vacuumed her entire basement, and vacuumed up a bunch of dead bugs. So I am going to change the bag today.

Just wanted to share, wish I had camera with me to post pictures.

P.S. I told her about the club and let her read the latest newsletter. She said the club was interesting and said that she had an old electrolux, but her daughters probably threw it away. She said that she would put my name on the Hoover.

gottahavehoover,

It is the same model that you posted pictures of in a previous thread. Its in good condition almost the same as yours. The man who serviced it did an excellent job. However, it has a generic black cord and it looks as if the switch was moved from the bottom of the handle to the top. Anyway they are wonderful machines. Maybe I will do some research into the Hoover lineup in the future.
