I bought a Concept One Power Drive model U3109 on ebay, and the plastic handle assembly and plastic handle support are cracked (I'm guessing it happened during shipping) and Vacparts Warehouse and Sears Parts direct no longer have the parts. What should I do?

The Rest of the Vacuum.

I paid $47 plus shipping for it. It came with a new bag and a tool converter. All I was told it needed in the description was a belt for the agitator (I planed on replacing the drive belt to.) I'm really hoping this handle problem is fixable because I can't find any Concept One or two models locally.

I have that identical machine!

It's been apart for years awaiting reassembly. The part you need can be found, sit tight someone will have one or link to one. Can yours be glued?

I might...

I might be able to glue the handle assembly, but I don't know about the handle support.

Thanks PoconoVacMan....

I did glue the handle back together and it's drying now (The strongest glue I had was elmer's wood glue hopefully it works) but if it doesn't, I might be interested in that handle. I just now gotta figure out how I'm gonna fix the support part on it.

concept handle

I have the standard self propelled Gray and black model cordwinder but not electronic model, any way I bought it from ebay it was like mint condition but when it was delivered the top handle was broke in two when I got it also. I used gorilla glue on mine and it worked great that piece is just like steel now. I tried to break it after I had glued it but it won't break or crack. That Gorilla glue is great stuff... I got my glue at the local hardware store and I think walmart also sells it. Good luck with your project..Stricklybojack is right that part is out there you just have to find it. I am still looking for that part for mine to make it new again, I don't like a machine that is glued or taped together.. So good luck with your project.... Dan
