Hoover Carpet Washers

Has anyone else noticed that the United States Hoover website recently started calling their carpet cleaners "carpet washers," like what they call them in the United Kingdom? I kinda like the change.

Yes I've noticed it and it kind of makes sense. A lot of people call them steam cleaners and really they are not a steam cleaner. Also I've heard them be called a carpet shampooer and when I think of a carpet shampooer I think of something like the Aerus/Lux Floor Pro or the Kirby carpet shampooing attachment.

Yeah, I agree. Most people in my family call them shampooers, but I try to call them carpet cleaners or carpet washers because that's really what they are.

My family always called them steam cleaners even when theres no steam
