Hi!

I have a Hoover 700 Special with a cracked handle. How would I go about taking it off to replace with one from a parts machine? JB Weld didn't work to mend it.

It's easy.

There's 2 nuts that use a flat-blade screwdriver on each part of the handle on the back. The handle splits in two and there's a connector on the lower section that connects it to the machine. You can just take off the bottom one to make things easier. It will either be a plug or a harness.

As it turns out,

I had the winning bid on a replacement bodyshell. Now, is there any way to adapt a Convertible brushroll (only about 1/8" too wide) to fit into it? (I'm thinking prying off the endcaps...)
