Hoover 63 bearings

Hello all,

New to this, so I guess I will get right to the point lol. I have 2 hoover 63's I am working on restoring. I am wondering if anyone could advise me on how to re-pack the lower bearings with grease? They appear to be riveted on, so I cannot remove them easily (or safely, for fear of cracking the bakelite) to really clean them,and repack them. Any advice? Thanks!

greasing Hoover bearings

Hoover has a special grease nozzle tip for your grease gun. but you can try pumping some grease in to it, just hold your finger on the other side of the bearing, so the grease forces into the bearing.
