Hoover 427

I need to replace the entire hose piece complete with the part that connects it to the hoover body. I've searched high and low for spare parts that seem to be obsolete. Main problem is that I broke the small circular ring that connects the body and hose. Any ideas as to where I might get one? A very old hoover repair shop may have vintage spare parts hidden away but I don't know of many that are still open here in London. So sad as it still works perfectly

No idea where you are but you could try Hillvacs on Merton Road SW18 (it's either Wimbledon or Wandsworth - Wimbledon I think) which is in SW London - this is an "old fashioned" vacuum shop.
