Hi Everyone. Just got a Hoover 115 with unused attachments still in original box (unused and still wrapped in shipping wrappers in original box) ! Was told it has not been used since the late 70's (was inherited and stored) It runs, but should I grease the motor somehow or do anything to avoid any harm caused by sitting or drying out? If so, what and with what.
I also have a huge Clarke 500 that needs to be re-bristled (?) or have the brush roll replaced. Any ideas?
I LOVE the website and all you guys find. Thanks for any help with this.

Congratulations on your find!

Can't help too much re servicing as I've only really stripped them down fully and re-assembled them, which this sounds like it doesnt need.

But please plese post up some pictures of it in its original packaging, would be nice to see!

Re: Clarke 500

What a beast! I'm guessing it's an earlier model of the same basic machine as the more current Clarke 560 model (shown in the pic). Nonetheless i would consider the possibility that the brush rolls are interchangeable. See link below. BTW, the part number i found was the current number which replaced a previous NLA number.
