As a web developer I loathe Internet Explorer, if a browser based bug is going to show up that prevents a web site from operating properly, I almost always find it in Internet Explorer 7, 8, and 9. While versions 10 and 11 are much better, in my opinion if you use any older version you are opening yourself up to trouble.

Personally I use Chrome and Firefox interchangeably.

Today the Homeland Security has issued this warning about all versions of Internet Explorer... [this post was last edited: 4/28/2014-22:45]

Internet Explorer is just a mess. Why Microsoft won't buy out some people from Mozilla or Google to work on an actually decent version is beyond me. Internet Explorer has been broken since IE5, and it's not going to be repaired any time soon.

Here's a little note for anyone still using Internet Explorer. Download Chrome or Firefox. They will import all your bookmarks and browser history plus add some extra features that are really useful. Plus, if you are using XP, you will have a browser that has actually been updated within the last 4 years. It's really just a smart idea to upgrade now before Crytolocker takes over your system.

Although it's not my favorite browser; everyone should be running 64-bit IE anyways. Done. 32-bit is out the door. Now if all the government agencies across the country who force people to use 32-bit IE and thwart staff secretly downing Firefox of Chrome...shame shame.
