It would seem like they could develop a version for current carrying hoses. On the hose end that connects to the piping, just use flat contacts like the type found on Electrolux/Aerus hose ends. Then have electrified contacts in the locking mechanism that secures the hose in place.  Just tie it into the nearest junction box like already done for direct connect inlets.  With the power of a good central vacuum the slight additional weight of an electric hose shouldn't be any issue at all.
