I received the Electrolux Polisher and not sure what to use on the floor. You mentioned you have instructions on how to use it.

It has the large circular brush and a 5 star brush in the middle which can be removed. I have not tried it yet, but does the large brush turn or just the small 5 star brush turns? What can I use to polish the floor? It did not come with the lambs wool attachment. Did I waste my money on this thing?...lol

Electrolux Model LX. polisher.

Hi lovelux:

No you certainly did not waste your money, I have one and love it, also it's a part of the complete system. Pictured here is the first one with the model XXX.

The instruction book is the best place to learn how to use it, but there was a special broshure that went with it, and I have one which I'll scan tonight and post for you. As to the star shaped disc, there should be 2 one in black, the other white (light tan) for delicate surfaces. The outer ring you simply pull off, the star shaped one has 2 spring clips, depress these, like you would to remove the hose on the LX. As to the lambswool pad, I'll see if I have one for you, it simply snaps into place on the star shaped disc.

Not having waxed hardwood floors, mine were treated with polyurethain (?) thus never need to be waxed, but I do use it to scrub the kitchen/bathroom floors, and it's great.

It works off the suction end of the machine, and is best if you use a new wrapper (bag) also understand that it doesn't vacuum up anything, the suction is to work the turbine.

As I said, you have a great addition to a great vacuum cleaner. Congratulations,
Alex Taber.

A look at my hardwood floor.

This was taken a few years ago when we had a scrawny Christmas tree, one of the ones in the woods. I called it the Charlie Brown tree.

That was my dog Felecia in what I called 'Electrolux mode,' as her back legs and tail look like a post ejection model LX.

Polishing furniture.

In all the years I've had one of these I've never used it for polishing tables and so on. I think I'll do just that when I clean the house tomorrow morning.

Nice Floors and tree!

Hi Alex,

Sweet dog - You say, "was my dog". Oh, I hope you still have her. I have 2 dogs. A 3 year old puggle and a 12 year old beagle.

Thanks for posting the instructions and explaining the polisher. I only have one of the star brushes and that one is the black brush.

Felecia Dulcinea.

Hi lovelux:

Glad you got the polisher, but I guess you were not the one who bought the one in the original box with all the tools. I almost bought that one, but decided to let someone else have it. Would liked to have had the box though.

As to Felecia, no sad to say it is "was." Yes, she was a very sweet dog, and was in my life for almost 11 years. The story behind how I got her is a long one, it's enought to say that I got her from a breeder in Ramona, California when I was living in San Diego. She was one of 8 puppies, and the only one to leave mama to investigate the human with outstretched fingers. We bonded instantly. By the way, she was then 3 weeks old, and I had to another month to bring her home. Saddly I lost her to a brain tumor in August 2014, but she gave me many years of love.

This picture was taken the day she got home from her last trip to the groomers. I use it as my screen saver.
