ok so I took my motor apart what a nightmare the front bearing is bad and I cannot get it out. and there is a washer rattling around in there any help can I jut buy a new one at this point. Please help I am really sad about this.

Is this one of the Ametek/Lamb motors? If it is, then you can replace it or keep trying to fix the current one. The Ametek motors are a bit tricky if you have never dealt with one before and many people don't bother repairing them.

its a nightmare

where can I just get a new one I am really kind of over it right now. I am fairly mechanically inclined and its built so rediculously.

Take a look at the link I gave. Then click "motor guide" at the top of the list. You might need adobe acrobat pdf reader to view it. Once you find the motor you want, then go to the online catalog and enter the model number and it should come up with a price. The whole thing can get a bit tricky so just ask if you need help.

Let us know how the new motor works out! Out of all the vacuums in your pictures you have shown, I think your blue Eureka Princess is my favorite. I have a soft spot in my heart for all of the Eureka Ironside style machines. Yours looks to be in mint condition. I hope you are able to get it running like new again.

current status

I found a motor I was going to get it today but I had a "two on one meeting" today at work you know how those go. lol. So did not make it to the place by five so needless to to say it has been a really crappy week. First this then last week my esp blew a fan that matches this one. Just a bad week was really looking forward to fixing it tonight but anyhoo here is a pic for ya logan.

sad

this is her all torn apart. Why do all vacuums I find have the hard floor brush missing??? I have three of these and buying another one soon I need some retail therapy. Does anyone have a spare I could buy it really bothers me as this was going to be my tile cleaner instead of my J.

Oh, I see where you went wrong. You never dissasembled the fan case. If you don't do that it is almost impossible to put them back together.

Glad to see you found a replacement anyway. Its a nice looking cleaner.
