Kirby519 - as above.So, no its not really a gimmick. Also if Kirby do produce synthetic dust bags that have NO charcoal in them and have a plastic grid catch, the bags in theory could be washed out provided that they have sufficient space in which the synthetic dust bag can be turned inside out.
