Has anybody have trouble putting in their Fantom brushrolls

Hi, I have been doing very well with the Fantom Fury I have purchased and I have a question to ask. Has it been difficult to install a brush roll into the machine? Because when I try to reinstall it, it just lifts up and I know you have to line up the endcaps on the brush roll so that it can be the same. I know some friends have had this common issue too. I felt like the need of this thread to be out there so that people that own a Fantom would know and needing assistance to install brushrolls.

In the 1990's my vacuum shop was an authorized warranty center for Fantom. They improved the end caps of the brush roller to solve this problem. The improved brush end caps fit tightly and won't pull up when installing a belt. You can tell the improved ones because they have a little metal tab that fits over the top of the brush cap indentations on either side. We used to replace all the ones that were the 'old style' under warranty. When Fantom went out of business (they did NOT 'go under') that was the last time those new rollers were available. Maybe now they'd be New Old Stock if anyone still has one.

Yes, that is the new style.

Will it fit on the existing slots on the vacuum chasis?

So you are saying that these new style brushroll endcaps like the one in this picture will fit in the existing chasis that housed the old styled one?
