Hamilton Beech No 26

looking to sell a Hamilton Beech No. 26 canister vacuum. my father in law is getting rid of it and I don't know what it is worth.

The model 26 was also call the 'deep clean' tank vacuum. While they are not very common, they did have a very long production run. The model was launched before World War II, and was the model they came back with after the war - and sold until about 1956 or so. If the front and rear end bells are chrome, it's a pre-war model. If they're painted, it's a post war model.
