Cruising the Wichita Swap Meet Friday and ran across this jewel amongst all the car and motorcycle parts. It was the name and unique shape that caught my eye. I'm a car, truck and bike guy with numerous unique projects. Add one more to the list!! Appears to be fairly rare. Have gold hose with vacuum canister end but nothing on other end. Right now both cord reel and motor locked up. Appears to be a model 712C. Does that sound correct? Serial number on paper label inside is 1529. Soaking hardware in my 50/50 ATF-Acetone penetrating oil before I try to disassemble. Fair amount of corrosion on inside, especially extra long phillips screws that hold body halves together.

I sent you a Email...

What swap meet did you find that at? I didn't think we had a swap meet, just two Flea Markets.  I hope you reply, I should be very interested in meeting with you.

I have one

That's pretty nice, but no attachments, Clay Floyd told me of seeing it at Star For Parts in Denver in 65 or so when it came out,its a rare monstrosity, but actually a good powerful vacuum, Kind of like a Bison, something odd that never quite caught on.

The Poem on the inside of the lid:

The Age of Space, The Rocket Race. Push-button Leisure Day. Be First to Clean Your Jet-Set Home, the Haley Comet Way!

I would love to find

All the attachments and caddy, although the vacuum is kind of a monster, it really is a powerful thing.
