They have a Hoover Concept One rust colour, no auto cord rewind, decent shape, replaced cord for $15. I passed it by ... I don't believe I just looked it over, brush roll was fine, a little polish & it would be good to go. Something must be wrong with me.... Just don't know. Mark D.

Habitat

I have found some awesome stuff (especially vacuums) at habitat. I just bought a green convertible there yesterday. And I bought a kennmore to speed there a while back. About year ago I saw a hoover 918 commercial vacuum. It was all original and in mint condition for $15 and I didn't get it. I've been kicking myself for that. Ever dmsince I've been looking for one.

Habitat store again today

The Hoover Concept 1 was gone but they have a beautiful blue Kenmore Progressive canister vacuum, all attachments, prestige condition.. $25 along with an older bagged Bissell upright in good condition for $15. Again looked at them both, spoke to my friend there that volunteers & came back home. I've got plenty of cash to burn, I just don't get it.. 2nd time this happened. Oh well they'll both go to hood homes.

My Habitat used to have more vacuums come in than it does now. I got my Sanyo made Kenmore canister for $5 and a Bissell Plus upright/canister for $10 as well as an Electrolux Grand Marquis complete except for floor brush for $10. I passed up a Progressive Direct Drive upright but it was $35. I also passed up a blue round Sunbeam canister I wished I'd gotten for $5.

The other thrift store has had more finds lately. I got my Hoover Slimline for $3.75 and there was a mint Kenmore Whispertone TOL canister from 1993 I had considered getting but I have enough already. I also saw a green Hoover Deluxe Convertible and PowerMax in the past.

Well I went back today to see if they still had the Kenmore Progressive but it had sold but a table & 4 chairs caught my eye (bamboo) for $25 so I took it home & now has a nice spot on my front veranda overlooking the corner street.
