If you like 1940's 50's or 60's easy listening music try(KABL San Francisco Ca. listen online tune in ). Just google Kabl and this will come up click on it and it will start playing. Bill,

This is a great station!

Especially if you enjoy listening to really good music from the Big Band era up through the '60s. And here's some good news if you are like me and have access to a Wi-fi enabled Internet Radio that uses the Reciva or Frontier Silicon websites for station acquisition and management (Grace Digital, Sangean, etc.): KABL-IR is available on both of these services!

I've just added KABL to my accounts and can now listen to the station on my Sangean WFR-28 portable or my Grace Digital Allegro table/portable set anywhere I have a Wi-fi connection.

You owe it to yourself to check this station out if you like this genre of music.

I've added a link to the station's website for your convenience, BTW.

Good question!

However, I've done some research on the 'Net, and unfortunately, the answer is no -- even if you live in the Bay Area. For you see, KABL no longer broadcasts over the airwaves ... they're strictly an internet only station. When they did broadcast on air, they were on 960 AM until September 2004 and 92.1 FM until July 2005. But if your car radio can pick up internet radio (and I understand that there are some cars out there with Wi-Fi), you're all set! :)

I grew up in San Francisco, and I definitely remember KABL. They had been around for YEARS and YEARS. I hadn't thought of KABL in a long time. I'm glad they're still (at least) on the internet. My father always had at least one radio station preset in the car to KABL. I should tell him about this. He's now 91.
