I get the best things in the mail. The Electrolux Floor Care Group (Eureka) moved, as the vacuum cleaner division was sold. They had some vintage machines, as well as prototypes that they decided to send to the Vacuum Cleaner Museum in St. James, Missouri.

They arrived in a huge box.

A damp cloth, and she's perfect again after sitting for decades on display - first in Bloomington (where Eureka used to be), then to North Carolina (where Eureka moved before going to China).

Wow...that is a beautiful Princess!

Interesting historical note about that sweeper from Berlin, Ontario. Eureka in some ways had its roots in Ontario because I think its founder Wardell was from Toronto. And Eureka's original home was in Detroit, right across the river from Windsor, Ontario. About a 2 hour drive from Detroit/Windsor is a city called Kitchener. If I am not mistaken, Kitchener was originally called Berlin before World War II, and changed it's name after the Nazi atrocities became known in North America. Eureka's Canadian division was set up as "Onward Manufacturing" in Kitchener, Ontario. Which is why that sweeper says "Onward" of Berlin.

Small correction: Berlin changed to Kitchener in 1916 during World War One when it wanted to minimize its linkage with the German enemy at the time of the war.
