Another bang up job you have done there Anthony, it looks great and even better that you have almost all of the original tool kit for it. Given that this was the TOL machine, I could never understand why Goblin put their cheapest hose on it, the same as on the economy 555 model.
What I did not realise until I got one myself was that the body is all plastic, this may possibly have been the earliest appearance of an all plastic bodied machine.
Looking at the cord grommet, I think this machine may have had a grey original flex (as would have the 555, presumably the 666 and the Housemaid models) although in in its earliest (mid 1960s) version it would probably have been blue or turquoise.
I have an Electra branded version of their upright cleaner (102/103/104 series) which has a shake out bag inside the cloth bag (it fits on the bellows like a paper bag) and it too is sealed with Velcro, which does not seem very practical - it would surely have been just as easy to supply a bag that could have been folded over and secured with a slide
