Not bad

At least it's an upright.  Would have preferred seeing an Sani-Emptor on its side, but I guess this Eureka/Hoover/Sanitaire design is ok.  LOL

That reminds me of the giant Hoover displayed at the '05 convention in Ohio. IIRC I think it was modeled after a model 63, but have a foggy memory! I think I've seen pics on here to of maybe more than one of those Hoovers. John Long, can you clarify?

I think it was modeled after a model 63

This GIANT Hoover originally began life as a model 28. And there is a picture of the (original) creature (attached). It was later refashioned (re-freshened) to look like a model 63, then as it's final iteration, like a model 65. Cant say hoover didn't get it's mileage out of such a advertising device!!! ... Here is the picture that I was able to retrieve from the AHAM website (American Home Appliance Manufacturer), that shows this large Hoover, with it's human sized counterparts, at Hoovers 1948 booth at Navy Pier. This was of course LONG before McCormick Place was even thought of....

THey DID make other 'large' models

I remember the Convertible Estate that was also featured in 08' , the same time as this earlier version. I found it amazing that the 28-63-65 worked as well as it did.... It actually vacuumed. THe Convertible Estate didn't..just blew up the bag IIRC...

Didn't those "giant" Hoover cleaners actually work?-unlike the one on "Lets Make A Deal".Dyson also made a giant vacuum-needed a truck or tractor to move it and 3 ph power to run it-and it worked.
