Not really sure what a Koblenz type A bag looks like, but if it's anything like the open-ended Hoover type C or H1 bags, then they are somewhat interchangeable, most open-ended bags can replace the F&G bag, or if the outer cloth bag is large enough and the exhaust the right size the F&G bag can replace the open-ended bag... :)

I've fitted a Hoover H1 bag in my Sanitaire before and it worked fine for a short while (I had run out of F&G bags (or E74 as Eurolux calls them) and the Hoover bags were to hand), but the Hoover bag, being a rather thick form of paper bag, didn't last too long under the Sanitaire's power and just clogged up... :)

Koblenz

I sold Koblenz in my shop in the early 2000's. I can't for the life of me remember what Koblenz called their bags but they are exactly the same as F&G. If you are using a Koblenz you will want to find some really good Micro Filtering F&G bags. The Koblenz is a good vacuum, all metal and rather quiet.
