Actually....

....The knobs, the trim and the burner configuration (three small and only one large burner, spread wide apart) mark it as a lower-end range, probably a Speedster, from before 1957, when GE undertook a major restyling that affected all ranges in the line. This frame was still used for a while after 1957, but not those knobs.

So, it's from around 1955-56, somewhere in there.

P.S.:

This range would have been the absolute bottom of the line. It has only one large burner, only one oven, no light for the cooktop and very little trim.

That having been said, this is a very handsome range and it appears to have been taken care of VERY well.

I Think....

....That might be like a '53 or '54 freezer. Maybe '52. I don't know the fridges pre-1957 as well as some other people do.

Does one of the surface units (aka burners--usually the right front one) have a medallion that has the words "Extra Hi-Speed" (1425 watts)? That wouldn't necessarily give the year (or maybe it would--I'm not an expert-- but it is something that most/all GE ranges had originally. Many were replaced later on with the basic Calrod (1325 watt/6") ones. I had a 1966 coppertone color GE range that worked very well but had to leave it when I sold my house.

If you're thinking of restoring the range, you might consider looking for the original "GE" medallions. The later ones just say "Calrod" or, in the case of Hotpoint, they just have a circle. I believe that Hotpoint used to be the basic appliance line for GE (many of their replacement parts are the same but go by different product codes).
