I am so used to seeing plastique junque in the thrift stores, that when something like this comes along I grab it even though I already have one...
Presenting a rather dirty model 1030, it runs beautifully, but needs a little greasing. All for the princely sum of $12.00...

Jeff,

That was a great find for especially for that price, I wish I were that lucky around here.

Jeffie??

OY!!

The Baby is Michael's, a gift from Tom when I was out there in May working on convention plans with him

Isn't it Funny Jeff...

That on the same Day you found your 1030, I Won one off ebay, lol!

Although, mine looks quite AWFUL and is missing the Hoover Medallion, so God only knows how it's gonna Run and if I'll be able to Restore it...? :/

Here is a Photo of the 1030 I Bought and do you know where I can get a replacement Stick-On Hoover Medallion for it????

the 1030 has had its spa treatment...

from Michael, it cleaned up very nice, and as we took it all apart it was obvious this 1030 had been loved. There was barely a ding in the fan, and hardly any dirt under the motor hood at all.
I have a 1076 Convertible awaiting mechanical restoration, I think this 1030 will probably be the donor.

James, you should be able to get the medallions from a Hoover service center. You'll want the smaller sized one, such as on the floormate.

Me thinks I had that model and I had to go check, and I do. Terrible when you can't remember what all you have or else I'm getting old-timers.

NEVER Pete!! After the first 25 vacuums it is hard to keep them straight. Hope you are doing great!

707
